During Monday's media session, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was asked what is the bigger rivalry in college football: LSU vs. Alabama or Ohio State vs. Michigan?

Burrow didn't really give an answer but said he might have one a couple of years down the road...

Everyone knows Bama’s Biggest Rival is Tennessee. *Roll Eyes* For LSU, Ole Miss is probably the only team we treat as a ‘rival’. There’s a trophy, a chant, and plenty of year-spoiling moments each time we play.

Of course it is Michigan/Ohio St... If Saban had gone to Auburn, A&M, Arkansas or even Florida and turned them into an all time historically great program that was playing for a NC every year, it would be LSU/Team X. This rivalry is a past decade and some thing - and it has been great fun to be a part of... But Michigan/Ohio St is a historic rivalry. Good answer by our boy though.

I wished he'd said, "actually, Army-Navy".

Michigan and Ohio St is THE rivalry in all of football. Even though Oklahoma/Texas, and Bama/Auburn are high class, elite tier rivalries, nothing matches that one. It's not called "The Game", for nothing. If they ever faced each other as 1# and #2, it could probably destroy viewership records for a CFB game that's not a championship game.

I will say that LSU/Bama has reached a crazy level before so it's not like a deep seeded rivalry is really needed for the whole football nation to tune in.

The Game is actually the name of the Harvard-Yale rivalry.

UM and OSU is an historic rivalry. LSU vs BAMA is a regional rivalry. Kid grew up OSU and you know what he was thinking. Good for him for not answering.

Joe will make a good politician. That was a good answer. But in reality, I think we all know that OSU/Michigan is a bigger rivalry.

LSU is in a much more competitive conference - several rivals. Ohio State only has one.

We’re not even Alabama’s biggest rival. Saying we are makes us sound stupid and desperate.

I’d bet big money that Bama thinks LSU is easily their best game of the year therefore biggest rival. If not LSU then who would it be? Auburn? LSU the last 8 years hasn’t been wining but we’ve been competitive in most games and since 2006 we are easily their biggest rival.

BB99...Auburn is their rival. It's about hate, not always competitiveness. LSU has Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss, ArKansas, and Alabama. LSU is LSU, we don't need a "biggest rivalry."

Uhm LSU needs to occasionally beat Alabama before it can be considered a rivalry. Hopefully on Saturday.

LSU and that school to our east is a current blood feud and a superior game and it's the game we care about and that college football fans care about. It's current and it's relevant. But Michigan vs Ohio State has an entire mythology built around it over a long period of time. It's part of the lore of college football history over a century.

Uh, I don't care about OSU or Meeshigan or who wins unless it benefits LSU.

Great answer to a really stupit question. There are about 1,000 answers to what he was asked and he gave about the only good one. It’s Michigan-OSU and it isn’t even close, that’s a rivalry up there with Yankees-Sox and Duke-UNC

Do you hear what Joey B said: "Ohio State, Team up North?" He still can't say "Michigan." He's a Tiger now, but some part of him is still a Buckeye. That's as it should be. He will soon be a proud alumnus of both great schools.

It might be a bigger rivalry for OSU to play Alabama every year. Think Michigan would be a bigger rivalry if they (OSU) had to play Alabama once a year? I know OSU's record against the SEC. You couldn't get either Michigan or OSU to play Alabama on a regular , for any amount of money.
