LSU held their first scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday at Tiger Stadium and afterward head coach Ed Orgeron met with the media to provide updates.

Orgeron led off by saying starting quarterback Joe Burrow did not participate in the scrimmage as he is dealing with a minor injury. Burrow also missed practice on Friday.

Orgeron is hopefull that Burrow will be able to return to practice next week.

Backup quarterback Myles Brennan was 8-of-13 in passing, according to Orgeron. Behind Brennan is third-string true freshman quarterback Peter Parrish.

Orgeron also said that cornerback Kristian Fulton, safety Grant Delpit and outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson, along with others did not participate in Saturday's scrimmage.

Orgeron needs to stiffen up on that camp injury policy and instead focus on physicality and physical toughness, or LSU may not be ready to start the season. He also needs to focus on getting John Emery and Ty Davis-Price ready to play before the Texas game. Cause while that Texas game is not a must-win for LSU for Coach Orgeron and his program it is.

Because O has no clue how to coach a football team.......what exactly do you do for a living? I mean, if it’s not paying $3-5million a year, you need to get into coaching.

Brody Miller's tweet = three best players out. Until we're 3 deep in 4-5 star players, we'll be playing catch up with you know who.

So we've switched to a spread RPO that features 3, 4, 5, receiver sets and utilizes RB's & TE's. Yet the first scrimmage of Fall and the 1st team only has 13 pass attempts? Something seems off even if all 5 sacks were given up by the Ones.

That was the point I was making. The stats don't add up so don't read in to it. But thanks for the insult. Moron.

How do you know if that's pass heavy or run heavy, if you don't know how many plays were ran... These, home page story , comments really bring out the most clueless people on this site... Also, how do you know if this wasn't a situational scrimmage, like they do every year... They may have ran a ton of short yardage, goal line. What about our other qbs, where are you getting there stats to add to the attempts by Brennan. God, I could write for a week replying to this stupid shite.. Also, why do you think spread rpo means throw the ball alot. Ive never heard anyone say we're running the Mike leach/june Jones, air raid. Do you knowbwyat an rpo is, or are you just running your big dsl`s ...did you even hear what coach o has said about 100 times since Brady got here? He's said that the offensive coaches , Brady, coach e ,and himself, want us to be, and will be, 50/50 run pass.

Brennan will always have a ways to go until Burrow gets hurt, or next year when Burrow is gone.

Per the Jamarr Chase interview on 247, Brennan is just starting to develop chemistry with the receiver corp and according to Chase, Myles' deep balls are always overthrown currently.
