It was reported Tuesday morning that LSU has contacted Florida State's Jimbo Fisher for head coaching job in Baton Rouge.

Fisher met with media on Tuesday afternoon and was asked about LSU but he did not want to talk about it. Per Rivals.com:
quote:

"I'm not going to talk about any jobs," Fisher told reporters after Florida State's Tuesday practice. "I love being here at Florida State. I plan on being here and I'm just getting ready for Syracuse."

Fisher then said he would have no further comments on the matter.
As much as Fisher probably does not want to talk about the LSU job, these questions are not going anywhere.

Thanks Kleinpeter. I'm sure he enjoyed a Baton Rouge reporter posting that he had been officially contacted. Stop being a little bitch AGAIN and let the season end before you fcuk up the coaching change again.

This. Same guy who repeatedly gave Les 0.00% chance of remaining head coach at end of last year.

No coach is going to comment on another job during the season. We'll know who the new coach is after the regular season. I have no problem with Jimbo, but would Aranda stay if he is the coach? Who knows? Coach O. has a great relationship with Aranda and all of the other coaches on staff(chemistry). Plus, he is an excellent recruiter who is keeping the current class commited to LSU. Not to mention we could sign him for a hell of a lot less than Jimbo with no buyout. Just win out, possibly go to the Sugar Bowl and the school gets around $15 million for that, and Coach O looks like the clear choice. May need to hire a big time offensive coordinator to satisfy the powers that be, and that's okay too. Either way, Coach O. or Jimbo would be fine with me as long as Aranda stays.

Kiffin as O.C. under Orgeron would really piss Bama off.

Why would Kiffin leave Bama for the same position at an inferior program? If he leaves, its for a HC position.

More like bewilder, you can learn under Saban or O... which do you go with? Hint: one raises your stock quite a bit more than the other.

Put his team performance on our schedule and what record do you see? Not better! LSU is supposed to be getting better.

"I am very in getting ready for Syracuse and I am highly considering going to LSU". I feel like some people really expect him to say that. He literally won't talk about that til 00:00 of their last game. A coach has never expressed interest in another job mid season openly.

LSU needs to make a huge public offer to Nick Saban. I'd love to see Bama have to up his salary about 5 or 6 million dollars a year!

The way the players react to Coach O is going to be hard to replace. I know we want an offensive minded coach (as long as we can keep Aranda), but the team has already bought into Coach O's philosophy. I think the best thing would be to keep O and hire a top notch new age offensive coordinator. Kiffin would be my choice hands down. It boils down to this.. Give our players a coach that will utilize the talent on offense as well as Aranda does on defense and we will be unstoppable. Period.

But I also think if Jimbo comes to town and we can keep coach O and Aranda we will be in good shape. So we have some options in my opinion

Textbook Jimmy Sexton. Whether Jimbo wants the LSU job or wants nothing to do with it, his instructions from Sexton are to not say anything and let the hype build till someone pays the man a lot of $.

He wants the LSU job. Think about it. After last year and the Miles fiasco his name pops up again? If he didn't want the job he would CLEARLY deny any interest.

Jimbo doesn't scare me at all as a Bama fan. He should be dominating that basketball conference year in and year out with the recruiting base and resources FSU has. In my opinion Jimbo's best years are behind him.

Jumbo coaching QB's and our offense and Aranda running the defense should scare the hell out of you! But you are probably too stupid and arrogant to be concerned. GTFO!

We don't give a shite whether it scares you dipshits or not. What is funny is that you feel compelled to come here yo an LSU site to express the belief that you don't care. Sounds like "whistling past the graveyard" to me. LOL.

"I'm not going to talk about any jobs," In other words, "Please don't ask me about the better job I want and they are willing to pay me shite loads of money." In the end, it is not our choice who LSU selects as the HC. I will just wait and cheer or bitch AFTER how they perform in recruiting and coaching.

I just saw this. Jimbo Fisher's winning percentage is 82% as a head coach. Higher than I expected to see. Im impressed

Don't see us being able to keep Aranda around for more than another year anyway. He'll be getting a lot of requests for head coach. We could put him as head coach here. I think we need either a great defensive-minded head coach who would hire a great OC, or a great offensive-minded coach, who would keep Aranda or get some other great DC. Unfortunately I don't think Orgeron is either. His best attributes are motivation and recruiting.
