Ja’Marr Chase Refutes Report That He Wants Contract One Penny Higher Than Justin Jefferson

Apparently signing a contract doesn’t have the same meaning it once had. I could see if he had 1 year left but it’s 2, players use to go out and prove it this season — creates a toxic precedent.

Getting paid is based on production not on potential. JJ's at the top, rightfully so.

This is a bad look for Ja'Marr. He has 2 years left on his rookie contract. He should not be looking for Justin Jefferson money, because to this point in his career he has not performed like Justin Jefferson. He should have the mindset that he is going to go prove it this year that he deserves that kind of money. Sitting out his junior year at LSU and now talking about sitting out games in the NFL with 2 years left on his contract is making him harder to root for.
