Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters on Tuesday and provided the following injury updates from the USC game:

DE Princeton Malbrue:
Kelly said Malbrue suffered a serious knee injury during a kickoff Sunday. The initial imaging of his knee was not good, but they will do more today.

WR Kyle Parker:
Parker suffered a UCL injury early against USC and is doubtful against Nicholls. Kelly said he would come back from the injury, but they don't know how quickly.

WR Chris Hilton:
Hilton sat out the game against USC as he recovers from a bone bruise in fall camp. Kelly said that Hilton is doing "ground-based" running but they want to make sure he is 100 percent before they put him on the field.

With Parker and Hilton's status unknown, Kelly said it's essential for Shelton Sampson to assert himself in practice this week.

None of these matter. None of these guys will make a difference at all in the game.

Sampson comments feels like a “he’s complaining about PT so here’s your shot bud”
