Acting like all you want to do is win and saying all you want to do is win are two completely different things.

I think he's saying this based on last coaching regime. No other reason for him to say it. Maybe last regime wanted to win, but maybe they wanted to play a style of football rather than play to win. It was evident after a few losses that the previous regime could've made a few decisions to result in a W but failed to do so. I think he's speaking more in terms that he's will to do what it takes to win.
