LSU head coach Les Miles addressed the media on Thursday after practice and touched base on a bunch of topics. To no surprise, the one topic that is most important to everyone is the competition at the quarterback position.

Miles confirmed that sophomore Brandon Harris is taking the starting snaps in practice but still has not named him the starting quarterback and it doesn't sounds like he will be doing so anytime soon.

Here is everything that Miles had to say about Harris and junior Anthony Jennings at Thursday's presser:

Miles also talked about Brandon Harris' start against Auburn last year and said this:

When can anyone give me a year where the qb who didn't take 1st team reps and started barring injury or suspension ? Also to the smart azz hand off comments about playbook. Look up R-P balance whe we had Russell Flynn and mett. It's not playbook it's the bad luck that snowballed at qb. Answer. Cam Cameron. NFL catching on to these gimmick offenses and how unprepared draftees coming in are. We send RB WR Olineman dlineman secondary. Look at Bama fsu USC lsu Florida Georgia all big time NFL factories. All pro style offenses. Qbs playing early pro style systems. Recruits takin note. Our offense is fine with good qb play

Looks like Harris knows all Jennings knew last fall and his talent is making the difference. Harris starts, Jennings good to go if needed. Loving this.

Harris didn't play because he was hurt. the coaches made the rt decision last season. winning 3 in a row and taking the sec champs to OT.

Having AJ push Harris all year long is important to his development. Miles knows this. Shutting down the competition early would do LSU no favors.

Apparently it was enough of his fault that he didn't see any meaningful time the rest of the season.

I'll never understand why Harris didn't start against Arkansas.

"coach Les Miles: Harris looked good in practice going into Auburn game. It wasn’t just his fault. team didn’t play well." This, so much so.
