Per ESPN: BATON ROUGE, La. -- Ed Orgeron held both arms in the air as he emerged from the Tiger Stadium tunnel for his first game as LSU's interim coach. Derrius Guice's long, crowd-thrilling touchdown runs ensured Orgeron would have every reason to leave Death Valley in an even better mood.

In the first game since the firing of coach Les Miles, and with star running back Leonard Fournette sidelined with ankle soreness, Guice rushed for a career-high 163 yards and three touchdowns, leading LSU to a 42-7 victory over Missouri on Saturday night.

I tend to pump the brake just yet after one game against a pretty mediocre Mizzou. Bama is still playing at a much higher level than us and if there is a game between us and Bama tomorrow, 9 out 10 Bama is going to win easily. That being said, the reality is we won't play them until 11/5 so there are lots of improvement that can be made during this month that could potentially change the outcome of that game. For now, let's just focus on getting better day by day and getting ready for Gators.

Congrats coach O! My wife said I was "bitching a lot less" during this game.

Coach O had this team mentally and physically prepared. The offense looked like "night and day". Anyone who didn't think that a change was needed at LSU-just look at the body language of the players.

Finally was able to see LSU smash on the gas for 4 quarters. They played at their pace and tempo and didn't dumb down to the level of their competition. Under the former regime, the score would've been 14-17 and I'm not sure who would've won. So happy Coach O got these team rolling and didn't call them off until the game was over. LSU's future outlook is very bright. So far so good...
