CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Greedy Williams, the Browns’ top pick in the 2019 draft, signed his four-year contract Tuesday and can now get down to the business of trying to win the starting job opposite Denzel Ward.

The deal is worth $6.5 million, including $4.1 million guaranteed.

Williams, who expected to be a first-round pick, tumbled to the second round, where the Browns traded up three spots with the Colts to take him at No. 46 overall out of LSU.

Better sit out those mini and training camps and preseason and non-divisional, heck sit out the whole year except the playoffs and super bowl, so you're family isn't at risk.

How exactly do agents work in this business nowadays?. What a lucrative gig.

with rookie contracts slotted, I don't really see much need for an agent, unless it's for endorsements

Of that 4 million guaranteed...~2 will head to taxes. Quick google search say 4-10% goes to the agent leaving ~1.85. Roughly $460k guaranteed over the next 4 years. Hope he saves and is smart with that money.

You forgot the signing bonus and endorsement deals in his yearly calculations. I think Greedy will be just fine.

Tax rate is only 37% on anything he makes over $500k. For simplicity sake, let's say he pays 37% on all of the $1.25M he makes guaranteed a year. That's about $787k a year. Plus the unguaranteed money. The Agent gets a max of 3% in the NFL. That's $195k.

So glad for Greedy, growing up in and playing in Shreveport I always knew there was talent up here, didn't seem like LSU agreed, but Prude, Tillery, Mo, T White, D White, Hester, and now Greedy is a pretty good run

Greedy’s contract does not require him to suit up of the Browns are out of the playoffs.
