LSU sophomore cornerback Greedy Williams named to the 2018 Jim Thorpe Award Preseason Watch List on Monday. Per

This list includes 35 of the nation’s best defensive backs, representing 11 conferences. The award is based on performance on the field, athletic ability and character. As such, it is considered one of the most coveted awards in college football.

Williams, a sophomore from Shreveport, started all 13 games for the Tigers at cornerback in 2017. He led the SEC in interceptions with six on his way to earning third-team All-America honors from the Associated Press.

Man LSU players are so disrespected how could you lead the SEC in interceptions and be a third team All-American? But it's cool because Greedy will be a first team All-American and win the Jim Thorpe Award, the only reason he won't win the Chuck Bednarik Award is because his teammate LB Devin White will win it also Greedy and White both will be top 10 NFL Draft picks next year.
