Former Pitt quarterback Nathan Peterman, who played under new LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada last year for the Panters, is down in Mobile, AL this week for the Senior Bowl and spoke to the media about his former coach. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

"He's a great offensive mind; really creative," Peterman said Tuesday. "He taught me a lot conceptually about football. I learned a lot from him.

"I think he'll do great; I'm excited to see how he will do. They have a lot of talent there to mix that with his scheme will be really good."

"He taught me to be creative and to stay in your own lane and not try to do too much," Peterman said. "As quarterback, you have to be a leader and know what everyone is doing. But you can't let that get you overextended. Focus on your own job as well."

This kid was wasted at Tennessee. If Canada can bring that coaching to our Qb's we are in for a bright future.
