Former LSU star and current Washington Redskins defensive lineman Ricky Jean Francois will be wearing very colorful cleats during Monday Night Football to honor the late Craig Sager who passed away last week after the long battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Per NiceKicks.com:
quote:

Tonight for Monday Night Football, Ricky Jean Francois will honor Sager’s style and legacy while bringing awareness to cancer through a pair of custom cleats.

“The sports world lost a legend when Craig Sager passed away last week,” said Jean Francois. “He inspired me and so many others with his flashy fashion sense, personality and strength. These cleats are my gesture of appreciation in honor or his memory, but also a way of continuing to raise awareness for the fight against cancer.”

Either way. I like the fact that Ricky is raising awareness against this dreaded disease. We've all lost someone to some form of cancer and unfortunately, the money is in the treatment and not the cure. This needs to change. Craig Sager made NBA games more fun with his colorful insight as well as his fashion statements. Very well respected. Classy move Ricky! Rest easy Craig! You are remembered!

It's a nice gesture, but don't they have a guy from the NFL front office who looks for uniform nonconformities and fines teams/players for infractions?
