Former LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his dominant performance vs. the Baltimore Ravens this past Sunday. Per Bengals.com:
quote:

Chase caught eight passes for a Bengals rookie-record 201 receiving yards and a TD on Sunday. His receiving yardage total was the highest in the AFC so far this season, and his 82-yard TD in the third quarter was the longest pass play of the year in the AFC. Chase's 754 receiving yards currently lead the AFC and rank as the most ever by an NFL player through his first seven games.

This is Chase's first AFC Player of the Week award, however he did win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for September. Chase is the third Bengal this season to win an AFC Player of the Week award, joining rookie K Evan McPherson (special teams, Week 1) and QB Joe Burrow (offense, Week 4).

For some reason DirecTV is giving me the NFL package for free this season. It's been a hoot watching Burrow and Chase every game so far.
