Former LSU quarterback TJ Finley announced Monday that he is transferring to Auburn.

Finley, a former four-star prospect from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was a signee in LSU's 2020 class.

He started in five games as a true freshman last season after starting quarterback Myles Brennan suffered a season-ending injury in Week 3. Finley went 2-3 in those games with wins against South Carolina and Arkansas and losses to Auburn, No. 5 Texas A&M, and No. 1 Alabama.

Wish he hadn't stayed in the SEC, but Oh well. Guess we'll get to see our 1st string DBs pick him off instead of 2nd or 3rd string.

Did you see our dbs last year?!

Enjuhnear, did you see TJ last year and in the Spring Game? LOL.

Enjuhnear doesn't seem to understand that we're in a different scheme this year with a proper offseason to learn it, or that we have likely the best starting corners in the country.

Yea but whatever happened to the rule or practice of not allowing your players to transfer inside the conference much less in the same division? I thought that a school can except a players desire to transfer but put limits within reason, where they cannot go.

read some NCAA news. anything about transfers written in the past 18 months will suffice.

I agree, I don't care about what they changed. Should never be able to transfer in the same conference but now they let it happen in the divisions.

$100 says that when they come to town 10/2, TJ is the starter. Hate to play against him, but that is the new portal world we live in.

I can only hope that TJ "turnover machine" Finley plays vs. LSU this year.

Grats TJ. Definitely a step down, but still a great place to go and prep for the NFL, vs taking the easy way out and going to a school like Middle Tenn State.

this is so wrong. I'd argue that a guy has a better chance of prepping for the NFL by, you know, actually playing. If he rides the bench at Auburn, it doesn't do him a damn bit of good. Go to a smaller school, start immediately, and see what you have. If it's good, you'll get noticed.

Interesting move. He'll be the 6th QB on the Auburn roster. Good luck to him, except when he plays us.

Best of luck. With that being said, TJ can now go frick himself. I hope everyone will respect my decision.

Always find it weird when grown men get worked up to the point of telling a 20 year old to go frick himself lol. If you are between 18-22, I guess it’s fine, but any older and that’s a bit immature my friend.

Everyone looks great at practice until the games start and the QB can now get hit. TJ is a talent, but the rush forces him into bad decisions. I don't see him as a starting SEC QB. Maybe he will fill in at times for an injured starter, but I don't see him securing the job as the top guy. I am pulling for him, but I do not think this was a move that will help him in his development. The coach is on the hot seat and the hook will be swift for whoever is under center. Good luck

first year head coach Bryan Harsin is on the hot seat?

Auburn fired Gus last year. They've got a new head coach.

LSU is 10-4 in the last 14 games with Auburn. If anything TJ will help the LSU "W" column vs Aubie.

How did he "help" LSU win against AU? Oh, he didn't...he was one of those losses.

I still don’t like his haircut. That’s not a winner’s haircut.
