Former LSU linebacker Kolbe Fields is transferring to Louisiana Tech, according to a report from BleedTechBlue.

Fields, a native of New Orleans, La., (Archbishop Rummel HS), transferred to LSU from South Carolina this past offseason. He was listed as a freshman on LSU's roster.

He played in 11 games for the Tigers this season, primarily on special teams and as a backup linebacker.

This is his second time transferring. I’d imagine he has to sit a year? There was no coaching change and he’s no grad transfer.

Good for him…he has a lot of eligibility left, so he needs to be in a place where he can find playing time.
