Former LSU and current Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry set an NFL record on Sunday for the most receptions in his first five seasons.

Landry is now up to 429 receptions and has 11 games left this season to add on to his total. He passed Larry Fitzgerald on Sunday who previously held the record with 426 receptions. Per ProFootballTalk:
quote:

With five catches for 69 yards in Sunday’s overtime win over Baltimore, Landry surpassed Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald for the most receptions in the first five years of a player’s career.

Landry has 429. Fitzgerald had 426. Landry could end up with close to 500.

Glad we saved his hands running the toss dive under Miles so he would be well rested for this major accomplishment! Congrats!

Did give him the opportunity to make for some vicious blocks. I remember his blocks almost as much as his catches.

From what I can tell, Juice deserves all the good things that are continued headed his way.

My favorite Tiger receiver ever. Made circus catches routinely. Best was against Arkansas.

He'll be surpassed by Michael Thomas unfortuately. But Landry has been a great pro so far.

bc its nice that a former Tiger have that accolade..... not saying anything negative towards Thomas, but he didnt go to LSU....so obviously I'd rather Juice retain that stat
