LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was on 104.5 ESPN's "Off the Bench" Monday morning provided an update on offensive tackle Dare Rosenthal.

Orgeron previously announced on March 4 that Rosenthal left school for "personal reasons" but expected him to return in the summer.

On Monday, Orgeron said he thinks that Rosenthal's "off the field problems,” have been sorted out

Rosenthal, a former four-star defensive tackle in LSU's 2018 class, moved over to offensive tackle during fall camp of his freshman season. The 6-7, 320-pound lineman backed up Saahdiq Charles at left tackle last season, playing in five games with three starts.

Rosenthal was previously considered a frontrunner for the starting left tackle spot and will likely compete with Cam Wire for the position.

I also think Wire will be ready to compete next year after Deculus gets drafted, more young talent than we've had in recent memory on the o line

This is great news if he can keep it together. I just realized that most of the Oline are freshmen/RSF.

I hope his off the field problems are behind him. LSU needs him at left tackle.
