LSU head coach Ed Orgeron met with the media on Tuesday after practice and provide a few updates on the team, including Christian LaCouture who received the No. 18 jersey this week.

Orgeron said he thought about sharing the number between LaCouture and senior fullback JD Moore but ultimately decided it belonged to senior defensive tackle.

I always thought the players voted on this.

With Godchaux gone, we needed Christian's experience on that line. Give him 18 and let him rock! I think the players would vote for him also.

Love Lac, proud he came back. But, with a 3-4 and the beasts we've brought in lately, I don't see him getting much PT next season. His leadership is still very valuable, though.
