Ed Orgeron spoke on the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday morning and said that quarterback Myles Brennan is doubtful for Saturday's game vs. Florida.

Brennan's status stems from the hit he took vs. Missouri when he lowered his shoulder near the goal line last week.

Orgeron said that Brennan has not practiced this week and that true freshmen quarterbacks Max Johnson and TJ Finley are getting 50/50 snaps in practice with Brennan's status in limbo.

Myles aint hurt. What your seeing is the beginning of a QB controversy. I said the minute we lose 2 games, Max would be getting work/meaningful PT so as to have a legit QB battle in the spring. I have a strong feeling Myles will be transferring come the end of the year the minute Max steps in and looks the part. Really believe Max would have gotten a real chance to start this season but for Covid. If Max starts at S. Carolina, he will shine and Brennan will unfortunately realize his opportunity ceased on 4 &1yd to go against Missouri. Think he knew it as well when he went to the sideline and sat on bench with his head in his hands. Hopefully he gets some semblance of real success before he finishes his eligibility, here or elsewhere.

MJ needs to see some playing time. That would be one positive to an otherwise disastrous season. And yes - I'm writing off this season. I'm a realist.

This just shows how big of a beast 9 was...dude absorbed soooo many nasty hits over the 2 years he started and was beat up but never questionable.

yeah, this season was over before it started....big fat ******* by this season....even if you win the title this season, It's the "wuflu" season, shortened with a lot of teams not even playing ball, games cancelled. It's a $hit show and should have never been played. Starting players opted out and after LSU sending 16 to NFL through draft, still had about 4 starters opt out.

14 to NFL, 3 opted out. But who’s counting anyways?

Guess this goes to show what we’ve been worried about with Myles since day 1. It’s a shame b/c I believe he’s got a ton of talent and work ethic. Just doesn’t have the body type to be an SEC QB.

We worried he would lower his shoulder when he coulda easily coasted oob?

Back when he only weighed 180 lbs maybe but he’s 200+ now & plenty bid enough to play QB in any conference!
