LSU head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media Sunday and praised junior running back Derrius Guice who could likely be playing his final game for the Tigers in Monday's Citrus Bowl.

Orgeron also commented on Arden Key who is not playing in the Bowl game and former LSU running back Leonard Fournette who missed last years' Citrus Bowl.

Proud to be a fan of Guice, but can't blame guys that are ready to move on. Their future and dreams are more important than the Citris Bowl. Good luck to everyone.

Damn it a shame that guice didn't know his right from his left in the game against Florida gators in 2016. Should have won that game. In 2017 other in nd the cordinator don't know which plays to call in a bowl game. Poor guys :( why q.b. sneak on the goal line when you can give to an rb with more powerful legs to drive intonthe end zone. Ah well they must have graduated in special ed. And getting paid millions to screw it up. Awesome

How much does this bowl make, and how much of that trickles down to the players? Arden Key will probably be at first round pick, and ND's Smith ruining his entire leg a couple of years ago showed why these kids sit out.

I thought O admitted that he held out Fournette last year vs. Louisville.

Those who are healthy and don’t play love themselves more than LSU.

It is my understanding that scholarships are renewed once a year. I think that if you agree to stay for your junior year and are healthy enough to play then you should play.

What about letting people finish out there contract Ed? You have an OC that is willing to stay and fulfill his part of his contract to LSU.

Like he said, your on scholarship for a reason, to be a student athlete and up hold your end of an agreement. If your healthy, you play. If you want to skip your Senior yr, because you got a 1st or 2nd round grade, you are no longer taking up a scholarship, but you could still be screwing a school with the 85 limit.

In a perfect world, LSUtwolves. Yes. But this isn’t a perfect world and the money is far too much to risk injury. But anyone who doesn’t have a first rd. grade should play and return to school. As most of them don’t make it anyway.

How are you going to say something like that without any consideration to what a kid’s personal situation might be?

nfl won't be there in three years, usfl will be though.

Glad he clarified. Wouldn’t want to be misunderstood with so many sensitive people out there these days. He’s right. The university gave you a scholarship to play. If you’re healthy, you should play. And graduate, as well. Anyway, glad Derrius is playing! I hope he dominates and goes out with a big win to lead our resurgence to national prominence next year!

Are you saying that you think someone with a 1st round grade should stay an extra year in order to graduate?

The whole point of graduating with a degree is to get a job and make a good living, right? These kids can make millions without one. Who wouldn't do that?
