LSU freshman wide receiver Koy Moore took to social media on Sunday to talk about an incident that he dealt with over the weekend involving Baton Rouge police officers.

Moore's statement on Twitter said that he was "violated numerous times" by officers on Saturday night who "pulled guns" and assumed that he had a gun and drugs on him.

Head coach Ed Orgeron released a statement Sunday evening saying that he is aware of the situation and that LSU and the Baton Rouge Police Department are investigating the incident.

Bet good money, this did not go as claimed... of 100% of these cases that go viral 100% be proven not to be true. Let that sink in 100% proven to be exaggerated lies 100%.

“100% be proven not to be true” Lol okay there’s no way that’s right. Obviously not all are accurate, but to write off every single one immediately is just irresponsible

What’s the point in mentioning social injustice and racism if there’s no evidence of either so far?
user avatar
reauxl tigers41 months
Because why else would Moore share this on social
user avatar
GoneFishing2141 months
I can think of plenty of reasons. I can also think of how this happens all the time if police are investigating a crime and trying to confirm whether a certain person is involved. That does not automatically equal racism or injustice. So let’s just say it’s racist because “why else” would Koy Moore post it? Come on. We need to better than that
user avatar
reauxl tigers41 months
I didn’t say he posted it because it WAS racist, I said he posted it because he automatically assumes racism is involved and wants to share it to the world. A white dude ain’t gonna post about how a cop was a dick to him today...

Chance that coach O personally wrote that? O%

Chance that any leader of a publicly-owned corporation, academic institution, large NGO, etc. writes their own public statements? Zero. Written by Communications and vetted by Legal (both in-house and outside counsels) and a small team of senior leaders inside the University.

We need to come together to combat minorities lying about racism. Lebron, Jussie, Bubba, the NFL guy in Las Vegas (sorry, there's too many fakes racism incidents to remember all your names). When minorities stop blaming racism for all their problems, maybe they'll be able to advance as a group.

....and it's always the same minority group. Hell, Asians don't have as many encounters with LEO as whites do. You know why? BECAUSE THEY BEHAVE THEMSELVES!

Wow!!! And your name is TenWheelsForJesus...you don’t see the irony in your racist troll. What happened to Love Thy neighbor? ’m sure Jesus, with “skin the color of olives and hair like wool” didn’t mention what color your neighbor had to be. Now for you, the police can go unchecked because a handful of piece of shite people lied to get media attention. Which would make that even more ironic if you are a Trump fan.

People are harsh with their opinions BUT, it is their FAR to express the same. Why are you judging them just as they are judging others and condemning them as they condemn? Not taking sides, just observing all the actors!
user avatar
Skaterboi41 months
Didn't derrius guice go to a good private school? Not accusing Moor od ANYTHING, merely pointing out where a kid goes to school doesn't mean shite about their true character. SO zip the he went to a good private school BS....... LEts hope BRPD and all involved are investigated to the fullest. BS like this must end.

Be careful citing good private schools. St stanislaus was a cess pool. Just sayin. But, yes, TD is largely frequented by people I wouldn’t have a beer with.

Coach 'O' has to walk a 'tight rope' or it will be UGLY. Not taking sides, but it is the F'd up world we live in now.

BRPD wear bodycams. There should be a recording of the encounter. I will say even if this is 100% the way Moore is describing, trying to reach for his phone to record it was not a wise move.

Jesus people that's whats wrong with this country lets just find out the truth here by WAITING on all the evidence before we cast judgment. Hopefully there were some body cameras to see the whole incident.

I don't trust any of these dudes. Did they tell the truth about Ferguson? Hell no. And yet, they ended up erecting a statue in honor of a two-bit thug, Michael Brown.

I'm big on wanting to know what happened 5 mins before and 5 mins after... I am not saying Koy is lying or that he was not done wrong. But there seems to always be much more to the story than the initial account of what happened. And I am not saying I do not believe Koy, but in fairness to both sides, I want the entire story... how did he get to the point where he had guns pointed at him? And for the record, I am always pulling for our guys, this is no different... but I have been fooled before and you know the saying, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

whatever ms delusional....baton rouge cops are notorious for acting like juveniles with their guns and badges. i had a roidhead brpd draw on me whike i was waiting in a car parked at the hospital simply because i did not answer him fast enougn. they are a complete disgrace to the legal system and need to be put in check, just like trump who will be going to jail soon now that he no longer has the badge of the oval office to protect his insane moral depravity

Theres two sides to every story. ONce the popo report comes out and we see what the WR actually did or didn't do, then we all can make a much better call on why the Officers acted the way that they. I always say just do what the police officers say to do, and sue later if necessary. Choose life.

If he did something illegal he would have been arrested. If the cops didn’t arrest him even though he did something illegal then the cop should be fired. My guess is he didn’t do anything illegal therefore he wasn’t arrested. Unless “you know” he was driving while black or brown which makes him completely illegal in the state of Louisiana.

I really hope that the cop had a camera on him. Somehow I don’t think we are hearing everything

Usually when Police pull guns and ask where guns are they have a very good reason why. I think the truth will come out. I do not think they just targeted this player or person just cause...

I'm assuming you've never experienced this encounter. The code they like to use is "Mistaken Identity" or "You fit the description".. I've had this encounter atleast 3 times in my 30yr old life. All to be falsely claimed.
user avatar
GoneFishing2141 months
The code is that it’s reasonable to detain someone who matches the description of a possibly armed suspect and is in the general area. This has been upheld in criminal courts. How can they stop the right person if they don’t try to stop possible suspects? Sounds like you made out okay. What’s the problem?
user avatar
Puttmail_39341 months
It wasn’t for nothing. He was driving while black or brown. You could die for that offense alone in Louisiana lol.
