LSU head coach Ed Orgeron held a press conference on Thursday to introduce new assistant coaches Tommie Robinson & Mickey Joseph.

Robinson spent 2016 and 2013 on the USC coaching staff and was at Texas from 2014-15. The Phenix City, Ala native will serve as assistant head coach, running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.

Joseph, a native of New Orleans, joins the staff after one year at Louisiana Tech. He will coach the LSU wide receivers.

I think it's obvious these guys are here to recruit! First and foremost. We can't lose the top running backs and wide receivers in our state and expect to compete with Bama. Or anyone for that matter. I know O realizes this and is determined to lock down the states top talent. Robinson and Joseph seem like they will adapt to Canada's offense and that's good to hear. Harmony among the coaches translates to confidence amongst the players on the field. Time will tell, but I think O is assembling a very good staff.
