LSU head coach Ed Orgeron spoke at the Baton Rouge Rotary Club on Wednesday and didn't waste any time talking about how College Football is changing with NIL.

Orgeron said he is totally in favor of NIL for the players and even jokingly encouraged the attendees to pay the players if they want... legally, of course.

He did add that he doesn't want it to affect the locker room and wants players focused on school and football.

This will ultimately ruin college ball, no difference in this and NFL now

Yup. College football is now a farm league to the NFL. Matter of fact, the new super conferences (ie SEC) will be just that.

I’ll make sure the NCAA is aware of your comment.

The beginning of the end of college football as we once knew it.

Gump QB is damn near guaranteed 1M. We need that at LSU. Seriously.

How will the focus ever be on school again if they are getting paid? Money changes everything and everyone. Some will be able to handle it, but most will not.

Some kids will get wrapped up in it for sure. These first few years will be weird. But let's be honest. Any kid that had a fighting chance at the NFL was never going to school for school. Of course, there are exceptions.

Yeah no kids were ever getting paid before this

I would much rather pay an individual “deserving” player money directly than to have TAF or LSU donations filtered through the TitleIX route. Targeted donations is awesome. I think NIL will be adjusted by commies when they find out no one wants to watch women’s basketball & soccer.

I learned a lot from being poor in college. Oh well, I guess lots of extra money for strippers and weed never hurt anyone. I mean, it's legal (or nearly), so it must be good for you right?

Are there ANY rules or regulations regarding NIL Endorsements? A “salary cap” for each team or a limit in the amount 1 player can receive (total or from a single company/enterprise? If not then WTFs the use of the NCAA anymore? What about title 9? Are female athletes supposed to get an equal share of the pie? Just wondering who, what or if some type of governing body (be it the University, Conference or NCAA will have any ability to oversee any of this or is it just the WILD WILD WEST???

The boosters with the deepest pockets will recruit for their teams correct?

Get ready, everyone, for the most massive QB sacks you’ve ever seen. What would a DE love more than to destroy a million dollar player in the backfield. It’s coming. BOOK IT
