LSU star linebacker Devin White will be replaced by sophomore Patrick Queen or freshman Micah Baskerville at the rover position during the first half vs. Alabama, according to head coach Ed Orgeron.

Orgeron spoke on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday and said that middle linebacker Jacob Phillips will handle the defensive calls until White returns in the second half.

Queen, a native of Livonia, LA, has played in seven games this year for the Tigers and has 13 tackles on the season.

Baskerville started the Florida game in place of Phillips who was out with an injury and led the team with 11 tackles vs. the Gators.

i would have prefered orgeron to just say they "didnt know" and were still trying to figure that one out. nothing good comes from telling your opponents your plan ahead of time, let them find out on game day with less time to plan against "the guy" who will be calling the shots on the field.

There LSU goes again, relying on one guy to win the game for them. We saw how the whole Fournette thing worked out. They shut him down, same thing will go for this guy.

This game will be won by the team who wins the battle at the line. LSU must contain Tua & Hurts running. The secondary will be fine. Ensminger's offensive gameplan will be interesting. Aranda will make proper adjustments if needed.

I agree, and this will not be easy for LSU. Also, we can't give up the big plays, no easy scores.

Should Ed be the one explaining that?

Queen need to shore up the gaps, Bama will no doubt go after him with running plays. Cannot blitz all day not against TideTards. I think Delpid will have a huge impact in this game.

The next man up concept is tiring. I'm talking anywhere you hear this in sports and not just LSU. Of course it's next man up, what other option is there? Doesn't make it equal.

Who said it was equal? If you had a clue what that concept meant, maybe you wouldn't post stupid shite. It means no excuses, do your job and except responsibility
