Ed Orgeron was asked during Sunday night's press conference how he will handle recruiting for LSU going forward with the season now that it has been determined that he will not be back next season.

Orgeron responded by saying his message to recruit will not change: "Come to LSU."

People will cheer his firing, but there are a lot of coaches who would just cruise the out with their buyout.

Exactly. This is where having a coach that loves the school actually pays off. Now his recruiting would obviously be different if he was leaving for another big school or if he was fired for no reason, but that’s not the case and it sounds like this part of the firing/hiring process worked out about as well as we could hope for.
