ESPN NFL Draft Analysts and College Football sideline reporter Todd McShay commented on LSU quarterback Joe Burrow this week after his stellar play vs. Texas last Saturday. Per 247Sports.com:
quote:

“He seems like a different player,” McShay said on College football Live. “Last year, he was just kind of hanging on and trying to manage a team. This year, it looks like he’s in complete command. … Just watching pre snap, he understands what he’s looking at. He understands what they’re trying to do offensively. Then throwing the deep ball, getting the ball downfield on time, it was a completely different quarterback from the one that I saw live twice last year. This guy seems like he’s in control of the offense. If he continues to play like this, LSU has got a real shot of making waves in the National Championship picture.”
Burrow has passed 749 yards, 9 touchdowns, 1 interception with a 92.1 QB rating in two games this season.

He is playing much better than last year. I was hoping he would pick up where he left off at the end of last season, but he has gone well beyond that.

These "analyst" amaze me. Of course he's a different QB this year. Last year he arrived on campus 1 month before the season started. Never played under center before, not to mention had to learn a new offense, players, coaches etc etc. This year he's running an offense he's ran before. Comfortable with this environment, teammates and coaches. Don't take an expert to understand that.

Fun time to be a Tiger. Would love to see Joe play till half tomorrow throw for 250 and 3-4 TDs to keep the numbers up then hand it off to Myles for the second half and get some timing and reps in the book.
