LSU running back Derrius Guice put out an Instagram post late Monday Night to talk about his knee injury during this season and said that he does not expect to make a decision on the NFL Draft until after the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1.

Guice injured his knee in preseason camp and re-injured the knee vs. Mississippi State on September 16 but says he is 100-percent now.

He finished the season with 1,153 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing the Troy game and had limited playing time in other games because of the injury.

Many believe the junior from Baton Rouge is expected to forgo his final year of eligibility and enter the draft, although Guice says the decision will not come until after the Bowl game. Various NFL Draft analysts predict that Guice will be selected in the first round.

There's absolutely zero chance that guice will be back next season at LSU. He is a first round pick for sure and you can't bama him for leaving. It was a blast watching him play in the p&g and I will enjoy keeping up with him as he furthers his career in the nfl. Best of luck to guice, he is one of my favorite tigers to ever suit up for LSU. He will represent our university, our city, and our state very well. Good luck derrius, Geaux tigers!

"Guice injured his knee in preseason camp", What the frick! Last year the rant told me that only a stupid egotistical hard headed coach would allow his star running back to get hurt during preseason camp. Guess Miles isn't the only one that falls into the "dumb head coach" category.

When Guice injured his knee, it was early in a scrimmage and he tried to hurdle a player. He was hit hard and you would not know he was injured. The trainers never went to the field to look at him. He did not play for rest of scrimmage. It was not that O ran him harder than Miles. It was a freak injury and it persisted longer than it should have. He wanted to play even tho he was not 100%. He is healthy now.

Either way I like him. I wouldn't be surprised if he came back. Its just a hunch. I'm no one special predicting this. I don't think he has anything else to prove, but whatever he does I hope for nothing but the best.

I'd love for him to stay, but it just isn't the smart move for him. He should be a first round pick as it stands currently. He already had an injury this year and coming back will just be another chance he injures himself before getting a paycheck. Unless his draft stock has fallen, he should go. He's been a great tiger and I'm glad to have been able to watch him suit up for us.

McK and CHS alum. BR through and through. I remember being shocked the first game I saw him in as a freshman...the most violent style I've ever seen. I'm glad he has had football to help him address his demons - and always with a smile. He is a top 5 Tiger of all time. I hope he tears up the NFL and has enough money to shower on himself and his loved ones for the rest of his life. Derrius, go forward guilt free, young man.
