LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda spoke to the media on Tuesday morning in Atlanta and was asked about the talks he had with UNLV two weeks ago regarding their coaching vacancy.

I can understand that he wants his name out there for a coaching search, BUT horrible timing with ESD and him not going to take UNLV job because of the pay

The timing was not bad, and looks like it did not hurt any of the defensive recruits. The two flips had nothing to do with him.

No teams will pay him what he wants Thai year. The defense has a ton of talent and got smoked for 3/4 the year. His contract plus the buyout will just be too much for most schools
