Newly hired LSU assistant coach John Jancek has received a two-year contract that will pay him $350,000 per year in base salary, according to The Advocate.

Jancek was recently hired as a senior defensive analyst on staff but was quickly promoted to coordinate LSU's special teams, taking over for Brian Polian, who moved to an off-the-field role. Jancek will also coach outside linebackers.
quote:

Jancek's deal put him on the same timeline as the assistant coaches Kelly hired last year. All their contracts will be up Jan. 15, 2025. The only one who's agreement ends after the 2023 season is offensive line coach Brad Davis, the lone holdover from the Ed Orgeron staff.

Jancek’s base salary is the lowest among LSU’s assistants. The others earn $400,000 in base salary, according to their contracts, then more in supplemental compensation to create the full payment. Jancek’s term sheet did not include supplemental compensation figures.

In addition to his salary, Jancek can earn various bonuses based on team success. He would get $25,000 if the Tigers played in the Southeastern Conference championship game and $110,000 if they won a national title. Jancek also receives a courtesy vehicle or $800 monthly car payment stipend.
