LSU defensive end Christian LaCouture spoke with the media on Tuesday and said that he is unsure whether or not he will play in the Spring Game this Saturday.

LaCouture added that the decision will likely be made by coach Ed Orgeron and head trainer Jack Marucci. Per The Advocate:
quote:

“The only part I really haven’t been doing is live scrimmaging, but everything else has been full contact, full go,” LaCouture said. “(I’m) just trying to get back in that game shape. I feel like I am. Like I said, you have that week off (for spring break). Now, it’s getting back into a business mode and prepare yourself. But I feel like everything’s good. I’m almost 100 percent, I feel like. There’s nothing really holding me back.”

LaCouture suffered a season-ending ACL injury during fall camp last August and is still recovering from the injury. He is expected to be ready to go for the start of fall camp.

Let the young man heal up further for his final year. No need for a 6th year senior to be put at risk during spring.....

Good! The rest of the team should follow suit. No need for pointless injuries
