Jerry Palm with CBS Sports updated his College Football Bowl Projections this week.

Currently, Palm has LSU playing Clemson in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 29 in Jacksonville, Fla.

LSU has played in the Gator Bowl just once when they beat South Carolina 30-13 in 1987. Wide receiver Wendell Davis won the MVP after catching three touchdown passes from quarterback Tommy Hodson.

The Gamecocks were independent at the time and later joined the SEC in 1992.

CBS Bowl Projection:

Outside playoff games the only interesting match up would be USC, Texas, or ND.

I’d rather play Evangel than Clemson. It would be more competitive.

Win in Tuscaloosa and all these predictions go out the window. It’s all in front of this team.
