LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels is "day-to-day" after suffering a head injury during Saturday's loss to Alabama, Brian Kelly said Monday.

Kelly added that Daniels is going through standard injury protocol and has made some progress.

Update:

Brian Kelly appeared on The Paul Finebaum Show Monday and said they won't know Jayden Daniel's status until at least Wednesday.

As for the hit on Daniels that knocked him out of the game and could have been called targeting, Kelly said they sent it to the league office as he thinks it "checked all of the boxes" for targeting.

I know it is my team and I have an emotional investment but can you honestly look at this and say it makes sense even with the rules change? If so, I question your intellectual integrity.

If anything we should have gone after Milroe. Make them call it the same.

Anyone who thinks something will come out of sending it to the league office is delusional.

I think Kelley and maybe other members of the SEC want this on record. Going forward a bunch of these "sent it to the league office" may accumulate for real proof that certain teams get preferential treatment. I thin with the start of a new Era in college football, all teams must vacate any NC wins. Going forward we can make it fun and fair. We should simply have all conferences dissolve the NCAA. They actually have no legal right to intervene in any way. But fir some reason schools keep honoring their bullshite. And the suspending of teams and players for past grievances is down right criminal. Wake up peeps!

Since the season is lost and if Daniels has aspirations to go to the NFL, he should opt out for the remainder of the season to avoid another concussion

What a fricking joke

Recruit two lineman who specialize in chop blocks. When something like this happens, the two specialists are sent in to cause problems. Your biggest tight end "accidently" runs over Saban on the sideline during the same play!!

Tit for Tat is what it will take to stop this BS comingout of 'Bama.

If Trump had been at the game, the appropriate call would have been made. Vote Republican, people.

Send it to the league who was more worried about having a playoff team than protecting a player from a dangerous hit. Good plan

I wonder if Kelly also wants the SEC to take a hard look at Baker's helmet hit on Milroe.

The hit was sent into the league office. Tom Ritter will probably do the review.

They needed bama vs uga so what hit?

Disagree. Bama beating UGA could leave both sec schools out.

You’re forgetting the penalty in 1st qtr that went against bama that was never officially called.
