On Monday, coach Brian Kelly spoke about Weeks and fellow linebackers Greg Penn and Harold Perkins.

The only way Perkins does not make a huge difference on defense is if the coaching staff messes him up or he gets hurt really bad. The guy is a natural disrupter.

Perkins could be overated. At this point I expected him to be making noise as a possible Heisman candidate. But he's been absent except for a couple plays vs a weak Miss. St. team.

LSU wins the west ONLY if Perkins is a consistent difference maker on defense.

If you expected that, don't know what to tell you. He in game 3 of his sophomore year and he didn't get going till the 2nd half of last season.
