Brian Kelly was on SportsCenter this week and was asked about being a 3-point underdog to Ole Miss on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
quote:

"The work is ahead of us. We have to play seven SEC games," Kelly said.

"Each week, we know the battle that is in front of us. And quite frankly, we haven't done anything yet. We're 1-0 in the SEC, and we had to come from 17 points down."

"We have plenty of time to earn our respect. It will have to start this Saturday against a great Ole Miss Football team."
Kelly was asked about what's on the line Saturday's vs. the Rebels.
quote:

"Just continue to get better. We have gotten considerably better since the start of the season. Obviously, the opening loss, 27-20, to USC was disappointing, but we have gotten better."

"This is about our football team, playing our best when the best is needed. And it's going to be needed against Ole Miss."

"Look, the outcomes are certainly important. Our fan base wants to win championships, and we want to win championships. But I need this team to play the right way for four quarters and get off to a great start. And play consistent, complementary football for four quarters. That's really what I'm looking for."
