Brian Kelly was on the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday and was asked about Pete Jenkins, who was added to the staff last week as a defensive line analyst.

Kelly said that some of the work that Jenkins has done is such a short time is already helping the players, especially from a technical standpoint.

Don't they have a DL coach, what is he doing? An 83 year old coach is not going to help.

You don't know Pete Jenkins.

All you clowns on the rant shite on the suggestion of bringing Jenkins in when the DL Coach went out.

Jenkins should have been the first call Kelly made. Jenkins loves LSU and could have helped improve the defense before the FSU game. Better late than never though.

If we can not pressure the QB, it's over!!

BK should have noticed this earlier, the problem with the D-Line, and had a temporary come in until Lindsey comes back.

D Line isn't the problem as much as D Backs... 121st in Defensive Passing yards

It all starts with the DL people. If they struggle, the entire structure of the defense will break eventually. Doesn’t matter how good your DBs are if the QB can comfortably sit back there and lick his spots. When we started to hurry the QB and get our big fellas in his passing lanes and he could see/feel the pressure closing he didn’t perform near as good. That will translate to just about every QB we play. Get pressure, let him feel it, get hands on him and get your big hands up in the air, then we’ll see our LBs, corners and safeties play much better. I still think they need to lessen that cushion they give and play some of the freshman in the secondary but there’s tons of things I don’t and we just don’t know. I still think they should rotate Toviano, Stamps and Yaights into the games as much as possible. I just can’t justify having Sage Ryan on that field. Either that OR they need to challenge that young man to be a leader and make formed tackles and get aggressive. Stop hanging your head after every play, stop tackling high, stop ripping at the ball, stop watching your teammates and get involved. The guy has the tools, he just needs to toughen the frick up. He plays like a sissy. Someone needs to tell him that too. Stop playing like a sissy and hit someone low while you wrap up and drive them to the dirt. I want to see him do that. Freakn play football bro!

A good D Line is the best solution for the young DB's.

Dbacks get better with Dline pressure.

DL was supposed to be one of the strongest units coming into the season. So far DL has made it even harder for the weakest unit the DBs.

Maybe they can bring in Tommy Casanova to coach the DB's?

There's a reason why UGA, Bama, Oregon, Auburn and OU brought Pete in this off-season to teach their defensive line coaches. But I'm sure you already knew that.

Well, glad he helped but the bar was set pretty low before he got here. Hope for continued improvement.

Probably would have been good to have a competent DL coach on staff before getting ripped a new one in he first half of the season.

Coach Lindsey is our D Line coach....and he's still recruiting for us while he recovers.
