The defense finally looked solid. I know people laugh but South Alabama does have a good offense and last years defense would have given up 24-35 points.

Why be that guy. Of course he would have deserved it with 200+ yards on 10 touches. But penn led the defense with 14 tackles and holding a pretty good offense to 10 points. Cade was awarded a game ball a couple of weeks ago, and the defense which has been the Achilles heel had its best showing overall in a couple of years. You already know all of that played into it.
