LSU coach Brian Kelly had his weekly interview on The Paul Finebaum Show Monday and talked about the upcoming matchup vs. Alabama.

While the big game is still two weeks away, Finebaum asked Kelly about his early thoughts on the Tide. Per SDS:
quote:

“We start with the obvious, right, just a well-coached football team in all 3 phases,” Kelly said. “I think the quarterback in Milroe is much more comfortable within the offensive structure. He’s clearly now at a point where he’s going to take shots down the field, he has an offensive menu in front of him that he likes and feels comfortable. Coach Rees has done a great job of laying out: Here are the things we’re going to do and we’re going to be good at them. I think that that’s where they are.”

Defensively, Kelly believes Alabama is the toughest opponent they will face this season.

“And then defensively, this is probably the best defense that we’ll see in our time,” Kelly said. “Talent-wise, A&M rivals them, but I think defensively, the structure and what Coach Steele does is outstanding, so we know what’s in front of us. This is an outstanding football team, Coach Saban certainly has this team playing very, very well and it’ll be a great football game in Tuscaloosa.”

Only thing we know about Alabama is that they know how to win and play the whole 60 minutes. All teams in the conference should know that. Be ready.

“Talent wise, A&M is the same, but they underachieve year in and year out”
