On Sunday, LSU announced the signing of South Carolina transfer linebacker Kolbe Fields.

Fields, a Louisiana native, was a three-star prospect out of Archbishop Rummel and signed with the Gamecocks over Oklahoma State, Purdue and others. He played in just four games this past season which will allow him to keep his redshirt and have four years of eligibility remaining with the Tigers.

Shortly after LSU announced his signing, head coach Brian Kelly took to Twitter to welcome him back to the Boot.

These guys will play harder, work harder, and be more anxious than the one who is selfish and feels entitled. I would rather get the 4 star effort from a 3 star verses the 2 star effort from a 5 star.
