LSU head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday and said that quarterback Jayden Daniels is "probable" for Saturday's matchup vs. Florida.

Kelly added that Daniels practiced on Thursday and "passed the protocol."

As for the SEC's response to potential targeting by Alabama's Dallas Turner, Kelly said the hit "did not meet the standards of targeting," according to the league office.

Screw dirty Bama and screw the corrupt SEC! I will never pull for Alabama against ANYONE and likely will not pull for any other SEC team that’s not LSU! I still can’t believe this BS is allowed in 2023! My dream scenario is for Georgia to kick the crap out of Bama and knock them out of the playoff hunt and then Georgia lose in the semis! I don’t care who they play!

my sentiments exactly. i have felt this way for years. the number of games LSU has been screwed over by the corrupt SEC officiating is ridiculous. also, other SEC teams have been affected by these slimy bastards. RTW?FU

Translation....if the hit is on an Alabama QB it is targeting, if it is on a LSU QB it is not....

Let me bring clarity. If the hit is on an Alabama QB it is targeting. If the hit is on any other QB of any other team BY an Alabama player it is not targeting.

You don’t want to go out and injure players. The Bama QB needs to be hit early and often. The resulting QB injuries are on the Bama SEC headquarters for purposely being inconsistent with the rules and all officiating.

You don't understand, this is the new SEC 1st week of November definition of targeting. It will go back to the standard definition this week. No need to worry. Kelly is fairly new to the SEC and doesn't quite understand the Bham office nuances.

CBK also doesn’t understand how to stop a running QB who consistently embarrasses and punks his defense 3rd down after 3rd down. Spy anyone?

Friend,

I do not watch sports. It is an enormous waste of time. I am not a fan of LSU. Such petty parochialism harkens to days of tribalism I have long since outgrown. When I read up the uproar about this hit, I was able to find a video of it and watch it. I then read the rules defining targeting.

Let me say this: if you were to show a video that fits the definition of targeting, that hit on the LSU player would be it.

Why do you waste your time watching men playing games? Life is much more interesting and fulfilling when you break off the shackles of sports spectatorship.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

It’s akin to what happened when you’re in any type of disagreement with a person with true narcissistic personality disorder. You’re left thoroughly questioning what is reality and what is not, second-guessing yourself, thinking you’re over-reacting, etc. When, in all honesty, sometimes the truth is in plain sight. This is one of those times. I can’t wait until this overt favoritism goes bye-bye.

I just have a hard time putting the Devin White hit on the MSU quarterback side by side with this one and somehow they conclude his was targeting and this was not. What a fricking joke.

So the SEC doesn’t find it suspect that QBs that are tearing it up against Bama have a tendency to become “Unavailable” for large portions of very important games? Im sure they’ve investigated Bama very thoroughly for these instances in the past & just like this one found that “All is Good - Carry on”

The rest of the conference schools could put a stop to this BS, if they wanted to. They could vote to SEC officials out, if they wanted to. The SEC is pure bullshite.

If that would of been a LSU LB hitting Milroe like that would of been auto ejection. Total BS

Targeting can be "Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area"

seemed that this happened without a doubt. not surprised at all that Bama got their way here.

Forcible contact is in question. “Forcible” means extraordinary beyond normal tackling force. Read the rule for yourself.

He did not crouch or launch at time on contact. When he hit, his toes were on the ground.

When he hit, the head was to the side.

When a player grabs the back of the shoulder pads and drags a player down, that is a horse collar tackle. One was called against LSU and one was not called on the Bama player dragging the LSU player down. It was blatant.
