Freshman running back Caden Durham is listed as "probable" on LSU's injury report heading into Saturday's game vs. Ole Miss.

Durham suffered a minor foot injury vs. South Alabama but has had two weeks to recover.

Head coach Brian Kelly spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday and said that Durham is trending in the right direction:

"He practiced Thursday. I'll meet with our trainers after practice to assess whether we change his status, but I would be surprised if he goes down from 'probable' based on what I saw today," Kelly said."
Kelly also discussed how the freshman has risen to the occasion to become a featured player in LSU's offense.

"With freshmen playing, it's much more about how they handle things mentally," Kelly explained.

"The guys that I have started as freshmen handle the moment beautifully. They are not too high or too low. If they make a mistake, they put it behind them and on move on to the next play."

"He just has the ability to not let something detract him from the next play, and I think that is the secret for young players."

I can’t stand coach speak. Just tell me he’s playing. (Just me being selfish)

The other team listens too, though. Let them spend time preparing for contingencies.
