Eleven former LSU football players have been invited to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis on Feb. 19-24. LSU was second only to Alabama, which had 12 former players invited.

Here are the players invited from LSU:

Offense:
*QB Zach Mettenberger
RB Jeremy Hill
RB Alfred Blue
FB J.C. Copeland
WR Odell Beckham Jr.
WR Jarvis Landry
OG Trai Turner

Defense:
DT Ego Ferguson and
DT Anthony Johnson, linebacker
LB Lamin Barrow and safety
S Craig Loston.

*Mettenberger is recovering from surgery to repair the ACL in his left knee and will not participate in physical drills. He will however go through the medical evaluation and meetings with coaches and scouts.

LSU had 13 former players invited to the combine last year.

I love Mett, but just remember he was behind QB Aaron Muray at UGA, when he was dismissed from the team @ UGA.

People might not want to forget about Trai Turner. From what I've heard, he will seriously improve his draft stock at the combine.

All 11 of them will send up in an NFL vcamp this coming season. I can see Hill make it into the first round but I consider him the best NFL ready RB in the nation. Nobody else will enter any team's camp with the ability to be a 25 carry guy for 16 plus games like Hill could and he is a great blocker and deadly in the passing game especially when he gets into the secondary.

Both of the receivers should be gone by the third round but while I see Javis as a can't miss late fist rounder and Odell as a late second rounder.

Mett should be a first rounder and the team that takes guys like Manzel ahead of him will look like poser amateurs after a few years. He is the prototypical pocket QB who wil move even better after his surgery. With bad wheels, he still looked like a seasoned pro with the way he floated around the pocket perfectly and consistently by just taking a couple steps at the right time.

Jarvis Landry and Jeremy Hill will be the ones who i think make it long term, i dont care about who "gets Drafted" you earn my respect when you re-up four years later....jarvis and jeremy are the next Eric Martin and Thurman Thomas...i see them being long term productive members of the NFL

Johnson is a great athlete and I think will be helped by the combine more than what he did on the field this year. If anyone on this list can shine in a workout type environment it is him. Athletic ability doesn't always translate to great play but for some reason in many instances the NFL teams put a lot more stock in the combine than they do on the on field results. I'm hoping each and everyone have awesome NFL careers.

I'd bet that J. Landry's draft stock will jump after the combine.
