Six LSU coaches, including Ed Orgeron, were in Montgomery, AL on Wednesday to visit with four-star dual-threat quarterback James Foster.

As you can see from below, special team coordinator Greg McMahon, wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph, running back coach/recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson, offensive line coach James Cregg, offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger, and Orgeron all made the trip to visit with the priority QB.

The 6-3, 210-pound prospect from Sidney Lanier HS is rated the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 5 overall prospect from Alabama for the class of 2018, according to ESPN.

LSU, Alabama, Florida State, and Texas A&M are all in the mix to land Foster on National Signing Day.

The Tigers currently do not have a quarterback committed for the class of 2018 and only have room for three more signees to complete the group of 25.

Foster along with four-star wide receiver JaMarr Chase and five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. could be the final three recruits to round out LSU's 2018 class.

Cregg looks like he’s about to hit someone with the L finger of death in a old martial arts flick.

Leave it E to make a backward L. A little foreshadowing into next years offense.

I thought we were going to run a West Coast Offense with a Pro-Style passing QB? That aint Foster. So, we're back to the Miles "Square Peg-Round Hole" method of QB recruitment again, huh?

Ensminger clearly said we’re running a spread offense full of RPOs and route concepts utilizing our talent at wideout . How about pay attention before whining like a bitch . Or are you subtly saying you don’t want a black QB ?

My memory was that we get the best players, then implement the offense to fit them.

Once done, they need to go talk with Surtain Jr. as well and make it an all around trip.

So let me ask a stilupid question. Let’s say he is aittibg there at#4 and signs with us. Do we lose a space next year or do they have to pull one from someone else. If so I’m all for pulling Conner culp.

Brandon Harris was the #2 dual threat a few years ago, sadly that didn't work out too well. I like a mobile QB, who is a throw first run second kind of guy. We need to commit to an identity and stick with it.

Kinda hard to do when we change offensive coordinators every year.

I am not a huge Foster fan.. But damn I do like us Giving it our best shot. IMO we must get a QB basically every class

Have to agree that we absolutely need a QB every class that at least has the POTENTIAL to one day start or at least add to the competition at QB. Also nice to get the 3* preferred walk on....If McMillan doesn't win the job he's gone so, if this is our best option im all for it

Damn I guess foster much better than I thought or he doesn't have much trust in current qb on roster.

Leave it to Ensminger to make a backwards L. Best OC in the country, though, so F it!
