LSU extended an offer to five-star Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa from Honolulu, HI on Tuesday.

He is No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the country for 2017.

Tagovailoa, a 6-1, 212-pound dual-threat prospect has been committed to the Crimson Tide since May and is expected to enroll early.

One of his main recruiters at Alabama is offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who has been recently linked to the LSU job.

LSU currently has two quarterbacks committed for the class of 2017 in pro-style prospect Myles Brennan from Bay Saint Louis, MS and dual-threat passer Lowell Narcisse from Saint James, LA.

damn coach O is one dumb frick. i was all for coach O then ya go out and do something stupid and offer a dual threat qb who is currently committed to bama. he had brennan dead locked in to lsu. did coach O just walk into football yesterday. did he have a brain tumor? maybe he need to take his medicine and he is not thinking clearly. if you got any common sense any kinda brain working up stairs, you do not say that you are a dual threat reference or gearing towards dual threat. miles had dual threats for yrs and didnt know what to do with those guys. hope coach orgeron comes to his senses and pulls that offer from that hawaiin dual threat. you got harris already and see the results. you might as well offer les miles his job back, bout to be repeat of past history

I don't think Brennan is the type to run away from any competition. We have languished at the QB position for too long. Having too many good QBs is a problem I'd love to see at LSU. I have zero doubt that every one will get a chance, and hard work will pay off.

In 2018 the starting QB will either be Lowell Narcisse or Lindsey Scott. 2017 will be an open competition. Brennan isn't ready for college football size wise. He will more than likely red shirt next season. To all the people talking about they don't want to piss Brennan off need to get real. Having too many good quarterbacks is a problem that LSU needs!!!

man may the best qb win. the more competition we have the better lets just hope there is no qb bias like with the last coaching staff. I love it. keep recruiting till you find one and if brennan want to be another gunner kiel then tear yo az boy. if he truly is a tiger then he will show his feelings and hurt and use it to be the best on the field imo. then throw it back in coach o face like kirk cousins did his gm for not paying him. keep rocking coach o! brennan aint proved ish in college, Brandon harris was once elite and a superstar in the making also.
