So far Coach O and Meatball still need alot of work on getting the DL up to where it needs to be recruiting Wise. Nothing wrong with finding a few gems but Championships over the last few years werent won with under the radar guys.Let the downvotes begin!

I would bet big money that LSU can and will win one with good evaluations from the DL and OL. This guy will not stay ranked where he is after his senior season and now that he will get his publicity from being recruited by LSU. More people will now be going check him out in person to see what he’s got. If he hits a camp or two and proves it against the best OLman in the class that will do even more for him. I’d be completely happy with him not going to camps and stay a high 3* or lower 4* though. LSU does need to get better at the OT and QB position but if we do that and continue to recruit how we are this year then a championship isn’t far behind. Cushenberry was a lower 3* player and now look at him. It’s all about evals IMO and picking the players you want no matter what star is by their names. We will have plenty of star power to go along with these supposedly lower ranked guys to be successful. That’s really all that matters.

Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger were not even ranked! (“0” stars) Aaron Rodgers, Adam Prescott, and Matt Ryan were all 3 stars! These ratings mean nothing!!!

Don’t get caught up with the supposed “Star” ratings! Most of the time they are rated by people who never put on a jock strap on their life! The coaches however, do know how evaluate talent. A lot of very good former players have been rated as a 3*

I want Paris Johnson too but there is nothing wrong with Patrick Jenkins. If somebody else tells you he is a 4-star would you feel better? The guy has offers from LSU, Ark, TCU, Arizona, Miami, Miss State, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and A&M. Even ole Les is offering from Kansas. That is 7 SEC offers so far and he has offers from coast to coast. When there is that much interest in a player from out of state he is more than a run of the mill 3-star player. Otherwise those teams would take players locally.

Rob62, none of those teams you mentioned have won a conference or national title in recent memory. I guess that's fine if that's the company you are trying to emulate.

TigerVision, Jimbo has won a NC and he is recruiting him. So there's that. In addition it is early and he going to get more offers. What I find hilarious is you are negative about a recruit until say Bama or Clemson offers. THEN all of a sudden he will be a legitimate recruit in your eyes. That is truly funny.

This guys should easily be a high 4* and if he gets any taller look out. He’s going to be a monster DE. Prototypical 3-4 DE. He’s quick as hell even after the snap and he’s still raw. I really don’t care what type of star is by his name, he’s got everything you want in a DE and more. He looks good against the run and pass rushes really well. Strong and quick with good hands and still a bit raw plus you have the chance that he grows taller than 6’2” and he may already be and idk? At 6’4 or 6’5 he’s going to be a terror. Love the evals.
