Despite speculation that offensive coordinator Cam Cameron's job is in jeopardy, the three-year LSU coach is still hitting the recruiting trail hard.

On Wednesday, Cameron was in Saint James, LA to visit 2017 dual-threat quarterback Lowell Narcisse who is currently committed to Auburn.

Narcisse, a four-star prospect from Saint James HS is rated as the No. 1 dual-threat QB for 2017 and the No. 4 overall player from the state of Louisiana, according to ESPN Recruiting.

Dual threat QB for our pro style offense, because it is working out so well with all the other dual threat QBs we have.

Quit recruiting fricking dual threats. We've had one successful QB in the last several years, and he wasn't a dual threat.

Unless one of those "dual threats" is handing off, he's wasting his time.....

Lot of ignorant posts on this page. This hasn't been the dual threat's fault, it's been the QB coach's and HC's fault.

Mett was already two years into coaching somewhere else before he came to LSU. Statistically Jefferson was better as a true sophomore than Mett was as a redshirt junior. The problem is the development.

Jimbo can take dual threats like Ponder who wasn't even his recruit, and make them at least servicable. He can take 5 star dual threats like Manuel and Winston, and make them stars. All in a more complex pro style offense than you average pro style offense.

Richt/Bobo, can take dual threat guys like Shockley and Murray (watch his highlights, he ran a lot as a junior in high school), and make them highly successful in a pro style.

Lane Kiffin Blake Sims and made him a passing record holder in Alabama history.

Look at Will Grier, before he was suspended, he ran and passed very successfully in a pro style offense.

First it's about evaluation, 2nd, it's about development.

They should be hitting the house of Keytaon Thompson up. Legit passer and runner. He's a strong kid too and Mullen is probably the toughest competition this early, but he also has offers from Florida, Texas Tech, Arizona St, Cincinnati, Miami and Tennessee, to name a few.

Defining Insanity...Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Time to move away from the "Dual Threat" style recruit!

Les says he likes dual-threat quarterbacks because they offer another dimension when things break down. First of all, if you recruit a quarterback who can read defenses, doesn't lock on his first read, and doesn't stare the receiver down- there won't be so many break-downs. Because he will get rid of the ball instead of holding it and panicking the way Harris does. Second, Jacob Coker is considered a pocket quarterback and I remember him tucking and outrunning our front-seven several times to extend the drive. Third, why don't you realize you're wasting this kids time. His skill-set is clearly better for Auburn's offense and I'm sure he knows it.

Hopefully the idea is to waste Cam's time for a while before his contract ends.
