Elite five-star dual-threat quarterback Justin Fields from Kennesaw, GA is headed to LSU for an official visit. Fields is the nation’s No. 1 overall prospect for the class of 2018.

The 6-3, 221-pound prospect from Harrison HS was a one-time Penn State commit but reopened his recruitment back in June. LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada is very familiar with the five-star QB as he recruited Fields while he was running the offense at Pitt.

Georgia, Florida State, and Alabama are among the school that are reportedly in the lead to land Fields but don't count out LSU as this trip to Baton Rouge keeps the Tigers in the hunt.

Fields also recently said that LSU is the school that he hears from the most.

My son goes to school with him! This kid is a special talent! There's plenty of LSU fans at Harrison for some reason. Maybe leftover from Katrina.

You know what you have to do... now go do it... whatever it is and whatever it entails. You HAVE to do it... For LSU.

After watching the highlights, he plays like Deshaun Watson with better running. I want.

If Canada can get him to come, bring him on! Brennan and Narcisse should welcome the competition!

I don't understand the tweet below from Haubert. Did he just miss some punctuation somewhere or something? I'm not understand what he's trying to say at all. I've read it a few times and still don't get it. It's almost like the first few words form a haiku.

I got the QB I wanted last recruiting cycle. When Etling graduates, Myles Brennan will be running this offense for the next 3 years.

Hopefully, with Justin Fields visiting this weekend, Canada will open up the offense more against the Mocassins. Kennesaw is just a few miles south of Chattanooga, TN on I-75.

Correct, a bunch of LSU fans in Marietta/Kennesaw/Acworth/hell, all of metro Atlanta.Been here since 88'. All my kids went to Harrison. It's not a 'katrina" thing at all. It's the fact that West Cobb is growing at a rapid pace, with excently bang for your buck on homes and good public schools. Not everybody from NOLA is a Katrina evacuee. It's like asking somebody from Chitown or Boston if they left because of "the great Blizzard of... pic a year"

Love how these pundits just keep on doubting the Tigers. Keep it up. I love it. LSU is as much in it as anyone else. He wouldn't be wasting his time if LSU had no dog in the fight. We are in a great position to land this guy. GA really isn't, FS you could say is and I don't believe Bama really is either. Out of FS and LSU IMO. With only freshman here when he gets here, I don't think that scares him in any way shape or form. LSU QBs come knowing that we will be recruiting other big time players so. Shouldn't be some kind of surprise to them and would only stiffen the competition. I guess Bama is kinda in the same boat except their starter has another year so his playing time would likely be out for at least one year. That's not the case at LSU, he would have a shot at starting right away if he's that good. Plus if he likes the offense that could be a factor alone. With LSU having a legit rushing attack, and defense to help him, all we missing is that difference maker at QB. The worst case scenario for him is he sits behind one of these two QBs until they leave then has 2 years to play with a RS.

Or he could have 3 years to play if Brennan and Narcisse are both gone after their junior years, for whatever reasons.
