Ed Orgeron and the LSU coaching staff received a verbal commitment from three-star defensive tackle Jordan Berry on Saturday while he was visiting campus.

Berry, a 6-3, 280-pound prospect from Harbor City, CA (Narbonne High School) is LSU's 10th commit for 2020 and the third defensive tackle in the class.

I seriously doubt J. Berry will make it to the NFL after being a 3-star signee for LSU. If you had seen his film and offer list you would probably feel the same way. There is no way this guy doesn't become a 4-star before signing day.

After some careful consideration and prayer, I feel like the best decision for myself and my family is to re-open up my recruitment. This has been a long process to decide where I will spend the next 3-4 years playing football. Thank you so much to Coach Orgeron and the LSU family, but I have a lot of thinking to do. Pretty spot on. It’s not a knock on the player or the coaches. Just when a kid commits this early it’s highly unlikely to stay committed without, and unfair to expect them to. They’re 17 year old kids and should allow themselves to enjoy the process of recruitment.

It doesnt have to be overly positive, but then again everything g is negative for some of you. I've been as big of an Ed O critic as anyone but it is good to see them making an impact in recruiting the west coast.
