LSU Basketball coach Will Wade was on the Jordy Culotta show Monday morning and provides some positive updates on guard Xavier Pinson who left Saturday's win over Tennessee with a knee injury. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Tigers coach Will Wade said Monday morning that Pinson had an MRI on Sunday and the results showed a Grade I strain of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and a bone bruise.

"It was the best-case scenario," Wade said.

He said Pinson will be day-to-day this week. LSU has games this week on Wednesday at Florida and Saturday against Arkansas in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Nice. The way he reacted I thought his year was done.

Second time that X has gone down and limped out of the game to the locker room (last time it was the Lipscomb game). I hope they're looking at some conditioning or strengthening of his knees to prevent future injury.

No amount of conditioning would help what happened saturday night

Agreed Mike. The kid with the swiffer was on it all night too. He was even on the court when possession was on the other side. Stuff happens

I feel like swiffer kid is fighting a losing battle - the PMAC court seems to be extra slippery these days.

I’m sure a strain doesn’t feel too much better than a tear other than healing time so that’s good.

Actually the fact that he was in so much pain is a good sign sometimes. Often with severe injures such as tears the goes straight to numbness.

This is absurd if true but Wade said the roof leaks and there is no hot water.

LSU needs to get that piece of shite basketball court in order so this doesn't happen to any player going forward. Just build a new arena for the men's and women's teams.

You sprain ligaments and strain tendons. But I'm sure there's no reason to be concerned with that malapropism.
