Per LSUSports.net: WASHINGTON -- Third-seeded Michigan State made 13 three pointers to answer each run LSU made on Friday night in the NCAA Sweet 16, as the Spartan advanced, 80-63.

LSU (28-7), champions of the Southeastern Conference, saw its season come top an end in its 10 NCAA Reigonal Semifinal appearance. The Tigers cut a 17-point first-half deficit to four in the first four minutes of the second half. However, Michigan State answered with an 11-0 run and LSU got no closer than nine for the duration.

Lost to a better team and a team that had their coach. Great season and let’s hope all come back for a championship run

If you think that was the cause of the loss you are sorely mistaken.

I was at the Pmac for the OT win over Tennessee and can honestly say I’ve never seen it that loud in my life. What a season. It looks pretty gloomy going forward but hopefully it’ll go the way LSU fans want it to. I know I’ll never forget this season. What a ride. Geaux Tigers.

Will Wade and company got us to a sweet 16 in his 2nd year. He may have not been a saint, but he did what everyone else does to get us there. I'm confident that this won't be the end of the story and other teams will get exposed as well. We really didn't lose crap either. We'll be the hero's in the end that sheds a light on college basketball corruption.

Great exciting season! They made a good run, cut it to 4, but sometimes, you have to give credit where credit is due! MSU is a Very good team! They were hot. Again, thanks for a great season Tigers!

Unlike many, I'm proud of my tigers for making it this far in the tournament without a true head coach.. but these guys will be primed for a championship if Wade is reinstated to coach with another top 5 recruiting class!

This was like watching a friend getting beaten to death and there was nothing you could do but turn away.

Young team, raw group of guys. 4 of MSU’s top 6 guys have played ~100 games each. I was impressed by the early adjustments coming out of halftime, but you leave that many guys open on the arc & that’s what happens.
