LSU interim head coach Tony Benford spoke on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Monday morning and said that he plans on coaching the team through the SEC Tournament, which starts on Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee.

Benford also said that he spoke with coach Will Wade briefly Sunday night but did not go into details on the conversation. He added that he expects to hear an update on Javonte Smart's status on Tuesday and an update on Naz Reid today.

Yeah, that's my biggest fear at this point. I can EASILY see Alleva and company run off super coach Wade in the interest of saving a bunch of money to hire the dollar store bargain in Benford who's done absolutely nothing but engineer losing seasons while head coach in TX. Seems to be the mantra now....go for the bargain and hope for a miracle.
